Welcome to China Public Relations Association (CIPRA).
In early 1980s, modern PR theories and practice were introduced into China with the policy of reform and opening up.A group of pioneers devoted themselves in PR concept promoting,theories study and practice, meanwhile PR professional organizations and corporations were set up one after another. With the call of PR sector, China International Public Relations Association (CIPRA) was established in April 1991 in Beijing.
CIPRA is a national organization with body corporate position, and it is engaged in the PR theories study & practices, promoting the professionalization, specialization,and standardization of China PR industry; developing public diplomacy and opening up broad channels for foreign exchange and cooperation, and providing consulting services for organizations both at home and abroad, so as to serve for the policy of reform and opening up to the outside & Chinese economic development.
In the past twenty-three years, lots of top enterprises both local and multinational as well as PR professional corporations become CIPRA’s corporate members. Many senior PR practitioners, experts and scholars join CIPRA as individual members. China Golden Awards for Excellence in Public Relations, China University Students PR contest, China International PR Congress, China PR Carnival, China PR Industry Annual Survey Report, PR lectures and training programme, and other professional exchange activities are services by CIPRA to China PR ?eld. For fostering the professionalization, standardization and internationalization of China PR business, CIPRA has done a lot of work in the National Test of Occupational Quali?cation of PR Practitioners, and holds annual relating working seminar, which are recognized and supported by PR insiders.
We are looking forward to the participation of more and more PR practitioners and those who concern about public relations. We sincerely invite you to take part in our activities, to concern and to support our work and to be with us to make further efforts into healthy development of PR industry in China.

China International Public Relations Association (CIPRA), set up in April 1991 as a corporate body and headquartered in Beijing, is a national organization aimed at international cooperation in the ?eld of public relations. In 2007, CIPRA obtained the Special Consultative Status of ECOSOC. In 2009, CIPRA obtained “3A” level from Ministry of Civil Affairs. Mr. Li Daoyu, the former ambassador of PRC to the United States, is elected as the President of CIPRA. Ms. He Luli, Mr. Jiang Zhenghua, Mr.Cheng Siwei, Mr. Li Meng, Mr. Tomur Dawamat and Mr. Yuan Baohua are the honorary Presidents of the Association.
Strengthening management in PR industry, Engaging in the PR theories study & practice, and strategy-making for PR industry in China; Raising the social position of PR industry and PR practitioners, and protecting legitimate rights and interests of PR practitioners, and fostering the use of ethical public relations; Providing comprehensive services and training programme for its members, and promoting the cooperation among PR organizations both at home and abroad, and developing the process of professionalization, standardization and internationalization of PR industry in China; Developing the public diplomacy and opening broad channels for international exchanges and cooperation, and providing consulting services for local and foreign organizations , so as to serve for the promotion of international public relations, for the construction of harmonious society and for the further reform & opening up and economic development of China.
Directly under CIPRA, There are Strategic Communications Committee, Academic Committee, PR Corporations Working Committee, In House Committee and Local Organization Committee, which involve more elites such as government leaders, famous scholars in PR circle, well-known entrepreneurs, and president of top PR corporations and leaders of provincial and municipal PR associations.
Under the secretariat, there are Membership Management Section, Foreign Exchange & Cooperation Section, Research & Development Section, Information and Consulting Section, Education and Training Section, Human Resource Department and Administrative Of?ce. CIPRA invites a large number of senior government of?cials, senior editors and journalists, senior managers of famous enterprises, and distinguished PR experts and scholars as its council members.
The Secretariat of PR Committee of State Occupational Quali?cation Working Commission is set in CIPRA.
